Tendon is a Tier 3 Material in The Wild Eight.
Summary
Tendon is an animal byproduct that can be used to craft advanced weapons such as the Enhanced Pickaxe. The Tendon is used to wrap the bindings for the axe head, giving greater striking power, and a longer lasting tool. The Tendon is soaked in water or snow to make it loose, and is then wrapped around the item in question. As it dies, it contracts and hardens, forming a nearly unbreakable bond - nearly unbreakable because when it does eventually do so, it's rather spectacular and complete.
